Welcome to the Summer II 2008 Semester!!

The cold winter is upon us, the holidays are behind us and the Spring Semester is underway.  WOW!  Where did the time go?  Basketball season is around the corner along with the OVC Championship!!! I intend to go to as many games as I can and root for the PEAY.  That's the part of the College culture that I truly enjoy....

With the beginning of the new semester new things are happening. I am teaching one section of POM online along with two sections of FORECASTING online; The real trick is that the university has contracted with "Desire to Learn" (a.k.a. "D2L") and has done away with BlackBoard ... just when all of us were getting used to it!!  So, the delivery system is totally different and the information that was on BlackBoard didn't transfer over very well; go figure. That along with the fact that Samantha Penny who was the university expert on BlackBoard left for greener pastures really makes all of this exciting. At least that is my polite word for it. One of my three classes is being offered at Fort Campbell and is therefore double accelerated, but at least it will be over with in March.  Anyway, it should be a very interesting semester here at the Peay and I am truly looking forward to it!

Hopefully, I will be able to have my web pages set up so that each of you can get access to the appropriate site. That is one major goal that I have had for a while and it looks like I can get it done. More on that later.

Well, good luck in your classes this semester and keep smiling. The semester will be over before you know it and we will all be meeting at the beach and discussing the pros and cons of hypothesis testing in the sand. Perhaps we can do our own taste test to see what our most tasty beverage is ... hmmm, any takers?
